Missing Sequim-area woman returns home, safe

April 9th, 2013 - 3:00pm

(Sequim) -- Sheriff's officials say a missing Sequim woman has returned home safe after apparently spending several days in the woods.

Authorities were searching for 47-year old Victoria Tamblyn, of Sequim, who was reported missing Saturday.

Clallam Chief Criminal Deputy Ron Cameron says Tamblyn returned home on her own, cold, but otherwise ok.

She was last seen Wednesday morning at about 9 o'clock.

Tamblyn was described as being in poor health and despondent.

She was last seen in the area of Kinkade Road near Sequim, where she had told her roommate she was going into the woods to be alone.

She was not equipped for an outdoor stay, taking only the clothing she was wearing, a down blanket, blue tarp and a hunting knife.
