Boy airlifted from Neah Bay with head injuries

(Port Angeles) -- A Coast Guard helicopter from Port Angeles medevaced an injured 12-year-old boy from Neah Bay to Seattle, Thursday.

The Coast Guard got a call of the with a serious head injuries, from the Sophie Trettevick Indian Health Center on the Makah Indian Reservation.

Airlift Northwest in Seattle declined a previous request due to dangerously low visibility.

A helicopter crew from Port Angeles landed at the Neah Bay Coast Guard station and loaded the boy.

The unidentified boy was last reported to have a skull fracture and major head trauma and his condition was not released at Harborview Medical Center.
