Leaving school administrator gets state award

(Port Angeles) -- The outgoing assistant superintendent for Port Angeles Schools has been given a state honor for her work as an administrator.
Michelle Reid received a Student Achievement Leadership Award from the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) this week.
PA superintendent Dr. Jane Pryne nominated Reid for the award pointing out curriculum changes and improved standardized test scores in the district under Reid's supervision.
Reid leaves Port Angeles this year and will be the next superintendent for South Kitsap Schools in Port Orchard beginning this summer.
