April 26th, 2013 - 11:28am

(Port Angeles) -- Cops brought in a police dog to apprehend a suspect in a domestic violence case.

It happened yesterday afternoon in the 1700 block of west 10th Street.

Police say when they arrived, they saw a man run away on foot into the woods. They determined there was probable cause to arrest the suspect for assaulting two different victims.

PAPD Officers secured a perimeter around the search area. They then called in K9 Bogey who located the suspect hiding in heavy brush.

50-year-old David L. Schroeder Sr. from Port Angeles was arrested and booked in to the jail on assault and domestic violence charges.

It's the third arrest for PA police's new K9 unit that went operational in March.
