Two hurt in Carlsborg highway crash

May 1st, 2013 - 6:17am

(Carlsborg) -- Two Honda Civics collided on Highway 101 last night.

The crash happened about six last night at the intersection of Kitchen-Dick Road and Highway 101.

Both cars suffered heavy damage, as one Civic "t-boned" the other in the intersection.

One vehicle was blocking the westbound lanes while the other came to rest on a large pile of sand next to Kirk Road. Both female drivers, a 19 year-old and a 57 year-old were treated and transported to Olympic Medical Center for evaluation of non-life threatening injuries. No names were released.

Westbound traffic on 101 was diverted onto Kitchen-Dick Road for travel on Old Olympic while eastbound traffic was resumed after Washington State Troopers pushed the blocking vehicle out of the road way.
