(Port Angeles) -- A Port Angeles man will spend about a year in prison for stealing equipment from the city of Port Angeles.
Michael Lee Sumerlin was sentenced in Clallam County Superior Court after he plead guilty to possession of stolen property in the case.
Last November, police were called to the city's equipment services division to reports someone had scaled a fence the night before and made off with tools from several vehicles. Gas lines were also cut to steal the fuel.
Police were later able to track a suspicious vehicle and discovered a number of the stolen tools. Sumerlin was arrested nearby.
Sumerlin is serving his time at the prison in Shelton.
