Warm weather abating

July 2nd, 2013 - 5:43am

(Port Angeles) -- Expect one more rather warm day, before a mini-heat wave disappears on the north Olympic Peninsula.

Marine air yesterday had already started to cool down the area from temperatures the reached into the 80's on Sunday. Yesterday, the high at Fairchild Airport in Port Angeles was 77 degrees. That was much lower than the near-90 degrees that hit inland parts of western Washington yesterday.

Forecasters say the marine air will continue to push in through today and we may see temperatures near what they were yesterday or a bit lower.

By Wednesday, the temperatures will be back into the 60's.

The sunny weather is expected to continue through the coming weekend with temperatures near normal for this time of year
