Clallam Transit seeking input to improve Sequim-area service

July 10th, 2013 - 6:24am

(Sequim) -- Clallam Transit is hoping to provide more efficient service to the Sequim area.

Officials have scheduled a pair of open houses this month to talk about service enhancement concepts.

Operations Manager Clint Wetzel says they're looking for community input.

Specifically, officials are looking into the enhancements due to low ridership on the Sequim Route 40 bus.

Wetzel tells us that the Sequim bus routes confuse customers.

The heaviest customer-traveled areas are heading to WalMart and the medical facilities on 5th Avenue, as well as the Jamestown area.

The community open houses will be held in the Sequim Transit Center tomorrow from 2-6 pm and July 18th from 10 am -2 pm.
