Ballots sent out for primary election

July 17th, 2013 - 6:23am

(Port Angeles) -- Ballots hit the mail today for next month's primary election.

Clallam County auditor Patty Rosand says about 87 percent of the voters in Clallam County will be mailed ballots.

Registered voters in the Port Angeles School District, Fire District 3 in greater Sequim and in the Port of Port Angeles Commissioner District 1 will narrow candidates down to two for those races in the general election.

Voters in the West End of the county will not receive ballots as no office had three candidates.

Rosand says if you think you should have received a ballot and haven't by next Tuesday, to call her office to verify and get a replacement ballot.

Ballots must be postmarked or in an official county ballot drop box by August 6th.
