July 22nd, 2013 - 5:49am

(Blyn) -- The annual tribal journey canoes will be making landfall in Clallam County starting today.

More than two dozen canoes are expected to land at Jamestown Beach north of Sequim about mid-day.

Jamestown S'Klallam cultural coordinator Vickie Carroll says paddlers from tribes all over the northwest have been prepping for the paddle to Quinault this year.

The paddlers will be hosted by the Jamestown S'Klallam tribe with a dinner and performance at Sequim High School.

Tomorrow the canoes are expected in Port Angeles at Hollywood Beach starting about nine in the morning. They'll stay in Port Angeles for a couple of days.
