O'Hollaran is interim exec at Port of PA

July 29th, 2013 - 3:04pm

(Port Angeles) -- There's a new interim top boss at the Port of Port Angeles.

Commissioners named Former Port of Longview Executive Director Ken O’Hollaren in a special meeting today.

Commission President Jim Hallett says O’Hollaren will make about 11-thousand-500 dollars a month until a permanent executive director is hired.

Hallett says O'Hollaren will be coming into the Port during a challenging time.

O'Hollaren was picked from a pool of 3 finalists, including former Port of Port Angeles Executive Director Jerry Hendricks.

Hallett says it could be next year before an permanent exec is hired at the Port.

Commissioners will be negotiating a contract for O’Hollaren.

He is expected to be on staff in the next couple of weeks.

O'Hollaren will replace Jeff Robb, who resigned in June and was rehired as the port’s new director of environmental affairs.
