(Port Angeles) -- Olympic National Park begins a couple of road projects on popular routes in the park.
The biggest project involves rehabilitating three tunnels along Hurricane Ridge Road.
Starting this Monday, motorists can expect half-hour delays due to the work.
Crews will conduct repairs to the tunnels' interior concrete liners and exterior portals and put in in concrete sealant.
Prep works starts Monday with the actual work on the tunnels starting September 3rd. It's expected to take until the middle of October to do the work.
Meantime, work has started on repair of Highway 101 around Lake Crescent.
Motorists can expect up to 20-minute delays as crews chip seal and patch asphalt along the 12-mile section of highway.
That work will continue through the end of next month.
