Man arrested after bullet hits Port Angeles house

August 30th, 2013 - 5:27am

(Port Angeles) -- Police have arrested a man after a fracas in a Port Angeles park ended with a bullet in a nearby home.

23-year-old Craig Petrovich of Forks was arrested Wednesday night.

Police think he is one of a pair who drove away from a fight at Jesse Webster Park late Wednesday night.

There had apparently been a fight between a group of people in the park earlier. That's when one round from a .357 revolver struck a house in the 600 block of east second street. People were inside, but none was hurt.

Petrovich was arrested later in Forks after police conducted interviews and contacted him on the phone.

Police were still looking for the weapon believed used in the shooting.
