Final agreement reached to start trail improvement around Lake Crescent

Port Angeles - - The Olympic Discovery Trail is a step closer to completing an anticipated section of its route along the Spruce Railroad Trail at Lake Crescent, now that Clallam County has approved an agreement with the Olympic National Park.

The Spruce Railroad Trail will serve as a connector to the 60 miles of trail already east of Lake Crescent, tying in to an additional 16 miles to the west.

The Olympic Discovery Trail, when complete, will span over 120 miles beginning in Port Townsend, and passing through the Cities of Sequim, Port Angeles and Forks to arrive on the Pacific coast near LaPush.
