Three serious accidents over weekend near Port Angeles

(Port Angeles) -- A busy weekend for vehicle accidents in the Port Angeles area. Six people were injured in the collisions all on Highway 101, two west of Port Angeles and one east of town.
Just before one pm Saturday, Port Angeles Fire Department and Fire District Two crews were called to a two car collision on Highway 101 west of Port Angeles where two people were transported to Olympic Medical Center.
Firefighter/EMTs helped to extricate and treat the driver and passenger of a small size pick-up after it collided with a large commercial dump truck entering the highway. Both vehicles were towing trailers at the time of the wreck. Highway 101 was closed both directions and traffic was re-routed for about one hour.
Then on Sunday morning about 10:20 another accident, where a car pulled in front of a motorcycle near that Morse Creek Hill. 44-year-old motorcyclist David Mills was seriously hurt and taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Another accident happened about 12:30 yesterday afternoon near Laird's Corner.
Two SUV's tangled when one tried to turn from Highway 112 onto Highway 101.
70-year-old Irvin Sonnabend, 31-year-old Jennifer Pearson and 21-year-old Samantha Logan were hurt and taken to Olympic Medical Center.
