Sequim library revamp seeks public input

(Sequim) – The upgrade to the Sequim Public Library moves a step closer to becoming reality Thursday when the Board of Trustees hosts a public meeting with SHKS Architects and Berk Consulting. Board members are encouraging residents to attend and provide feedback for additional planning of the future library.
Berk Consultants have studied population projections, evaluated the existing building site and have collected input from the community that will be incorporated into the design for Sequim's new library. Library Director, Paula Barnes says the library is cramped and needs an upgrade...
"The board is interested in hearing from the public at this point," said Barnes. "There aren't going to be detailed drawings, but what we are going to learn is what the consultants have learned from public outreach in the process so far."
The board encourages Sequim residents to attend the September 26th meeting that begins at 5:30 PM at the Sequim Branch Library, 630 N. Sequim Avenue.
