(Sequim) -- The City of Sequim has proposed a 55-point-3 million dollar budget for 2014.
City Manager Steve Burkett called the budget “prudent and disciplined” as he noted the cost of the 15-million dollar City Hall and Police Facility as something that does not occur all that frequently.
The budget also calls for a 4 percent increase in water and sewer rates, along with a projected 4 percent rise in sales tax revenue.
An increase for employee salaries and benefits also accounted for 7-point-1 million dollars of the budget.
