City still needs a holiday tree

(Port Angeles) – The city of Port Angeles is still looking for a holiday tree.
The chosen tree will go downtown at the Conrad Dyar Memorial Fountain on Laurel Street in downtown Port Angeles.
The city put a call out about a month ago for a tree, but is issuing another “ask” for someone who would like to provide the tree.
The lighting of this special tree during the Thanksgiving weekend traditionally signals the beginning of the holiday season in Port Angeles.
Parks and Recreation officials say the ideal tree should be between 35 to 40 feet high and full for easier decorating. A fir or spruce tree is preferred. The city will pick up the tree between Joyce and Sequim as long as its location is easily accessible by boom truck.
The city will recognized the owner of the selected tree with a special proclamation.
If you might have the perfect tree, you're asked to call the city at 417-4550.
