PA football season ends in loss

The Kingston Buccaneers (6-1,7-2) scored 28 points in the second period and went on to a 49-14 win over the Port Angeles Roughriders (2-5,2-7) to spoil the Rider homecoming festivities at Civic Field in Port Angeles Friday night.

The Bucs added to a 7-0 first period lead with four scores in a row, a 58-yard pass from Bobby Reece to Henry English, a 19-yard pass to Aaron Dickson, a 29-yard run by Dickson and a 13-yard pass to English.

Dickson scored on a 6-yard run midway through the third period before the Riders scored on an 8-yard pass to Caleb West and a 9-yard run by Nick Lasorsa in the final period.

Kingston added a 68-yard run for a score late in the game.

Kingston had 514 yards of total offense, 303 on the ground, while the Riders had just 195 yards of offense for the game.

Tailback Nick Tabenera led the Bucs with 146 yards on 20 carries. Bobby Reece passed 13 times, hit 10 for 196 yards and two scores.

Kingston has a playoff game Nov. 8, the Rider season is over as they could not arrange a 10th game for the second year in a row.
