Clallam Transit changing sagging Sequim route

November 19th, 2013 - 5:40am

(Port Angeles) -- Clallam Transit is changing its Sequim shuttle route. Clallam Transit is changing its Sequim shuttle route.

After months of study, the transit board yesterday agreed to eliminate the shuttle's current east-west route.

Starting next year, the shuttle will operate a loop from the Sequim Transit Center through parts of town.

It also will add an extra loop through the medical facilities along 5th Avenue in Sequim.

Transit officials hope the change will increase ridership. Right now, the shuttle gets a little over a thousand passengers a month and ridership has continued to decline despite other changes.

The new route takes effect January 20th.
