Sequim man sentenced for road rage

November 20th, 2013 - 5:19am

(Port Angeles) A Sequim man has been sentenced in a local road-rage incident.

James Jones yesterday was sentenced to 65 day in jail. It was converted to community service and home monitoring. Jones has also lost his rights to possess a gun.

It stems from an incident last March. Court documents say 65-year-old Jones was driving in the Kitchen-Dick Road area when he, at least twice, pointed a .45 caliber pistol at a slower vehicle in front of him. That car was carrying a family with two children.

Jones was arrested and later pled guilty to attempted assault.
