Food-a-thon raised money for Food Bank

(Port Angeles) -- The Port Angeles Lions Club Radio KONP Food-a-thon earned 34-thousand-588 dollars Thursday.
Thanks to all our listeners on Newsradio KONP and the support of many local businesses and individuals in the community.
The coffers were filled with hundreds of donations along with a gift of more than 61-hundred dollars from the employees and owners of the Black Ball Ferry Line.
Hermann Brothers/Evergreen Fiber donated 3-thousand dollars.
Olympic Medical Center contributed 25-hundred dollars.
Clallam PUD employees chipped in 17-hundred dollars.
Port Angeles Hardwood Mill and its employees combined for a 14-hundred-40 dollar gift.
Thank you to the dozens of generous contributions from other community members.
The money raised goes to the Port Angeles Food Bank, serving hundreds of area families each month.
Additional donations will be accepted at the Food Bank, 402 S Valley Street, open weekdays from 9 until 4.
