NWAACC MEN'S HOOPS: Peninsula 77, Clark 76

(Port Angeles) Ė Tyler McKinney scored 18 points as the Peninsula Pirates menís basketball team beat the Clark College Penguins 77-76 Tuesday night in the Pirate Gym.

Gino Horsley had 12 points and Markus Rawls added 10 for Peninsula, which trailed the Penguins 29-27 at intermission.

Clarkís Collin Spickerman was the game-high scorer with 24 markers.

The Penguins (2-1) got 15 from Max Livingston and Sean Price added 13.

The Pirates connected on just 6 of their 21 attempts from beyond the 3-point arc.

Peninsula (1-0) had a slight advantage from the free throw line, hitting 15-of-21 charity shots.

The Pirates forced 15 Clark turnovers, while committing just 10 miscues.

Peninsula had the overall edge in rebounding 29-25.

In another NWAACC menís game Tuesday, Treasure Valley beat North Idaho College 70-69.

The Pirates will be idle until December 7th, when they host the First Federal Pirate Classic.
