Cold temperatures, possible snow flakes on the way
December 2nd, 2013 - 5:23am
(Port Angeles) – The north Olympic Peninsula could see a few snow flakes later today or tonight.
Forecasters say a cold front moving in from the north could mix with moisture to bring at least some rain mixed with snow. The snow level will fall to 500 feet today and down to sea level by tonight.
The question is if there will be enough moisture in the area to mix with the arctic air to set up a snow maker.
The cold temperatures will linger for most of the week. Highs will barely crack the freezing mark Tuesday and Wednesday. Lows will be in the 20's most of this week. But we aren't expecting any moisture, so no threat of snow.
