Girder work continues on new Port Angeles bridge

(Port Angeles) – Part of Race Street in Port Angeles remains closed as crews put in girders for the new Laurdisen Boulevard Bridge.
Yesterday, crews began lowering the 141-foot long girders into their spot a for the new bridge.
Three girders came to town yesterday. Another three more will be here today.
Saturday, work is expected to start on removing the crane pads used to place the bridge girders.
Detours on Race Street are expected to remain in place through the weekend while that work finishes.
The new bridge is expected to be finished in the next three months.
