WSP seeking witnesses to Port Angeles Trooper-involved crash

(Port Angeles) – The investigation continues into the crash east of Port Angeles a week ago involving a State Patrol Trooper.
Now the State Patrol is looking for more witnesses to the incident that happened near the Morse Creek Hill on Highway 101 Friday evening.
The Patrol’s Major Accident Investigation Team is still piecing together what happened when Trooper
Travis Beebe reportedly flipped a U-turn to chase a speeder. His cruiser crossed the center line crashing into two other vehicles.
No one was seriously hurt, but the cruiser was destroyed and the two other vehicles suffered heavy damage.
Beebe has been allowed back on duty while the investigation continues.
