Rider girls rout Eagles

Port Angeles started slow, finished strong and shocked the Klahowya Eagle girls 64-22 in an Olympic League game Monday in Port Angeles.

The Riders (4-0,5-1) led 10-7 at the quarter, then 30-18 at halftime. The Eagles (0-3,2-4) did not score a field goal in the second half as they totaled 36 turnovers for the game. Klahowya shot 7/40 for the game, being taken out of their run-and-gun offense by turnovers and the Rider defense.

PA shot 25/64 all shots, led by 12 from Lenora Hofer off the bench. Maddie Hinrichs, Krista Johnson and Haley Baxley added 11 each. Izzy Severns led Klahowya with 11

PA goes to North K Wednesday with first place in the league standings at stake.
