Snow might be on the way

(Seattle) -- The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a winter storm watch, saying the Western Washington interior from the Puget Sound region northward could see significant snow.

The Port Angeles-Sequim area could see snow developing late tonight into Friday. There is a possiblity of up to three inches of accumulation by Friday afternoon. The snow level is expected to drop to at least 300 feet.

Snow will turn over to rain by later in the day on Friday.

The Weather Service says as much as 2 inches could fall around Tacoma and 2 to 4 inches from Seattle northward. Even more snow Is possible east and north of Puget Sound.

More snow is expected in the mountains and parts of Eastern Washington. Cooler temperatures will keep a chance of snow in the Eastern Washington forecast through the weekend.
