Woman, dogs trapped in rollover accident west of Port Angeles

January 3rd, 2014 - 10:45am

(Port Angeles) Icy conditions may have contributed to a roll-over accident west of Port Angeles that trapped a woman.

Fire District Two was called to the scene about 8:15 near the intersection of Place Road and Highway 112.

District chief Sam Phillips says a female driver lost control of her mid-sized pickup truck. The truck left the roadway and flipped onto its side before coming to rest in the southbound lane of Place Road.

Paramedics freed the trapped 47-year-old female from the pickup truck along with her three pet dogs. The driver complained of minor injuries and was transported to Olympic Medical Center. The three dogs were handed over to a family member who responded to the scene.
