Traffic rerouted onto new section of highway between PA and Sequim
January 6th, 2014 - 5:30pm
(Port Angeles) – Crews switched traffic onto the new section of Highway 101 between Barr Road and Kitchen-Dick Road today.
The switch happened about 4:30 Monday afternoon after lane striping and other work was completed.
Now that traffic has moved onto the new section, crews will begin tearing down the old bridge over McDonald Creek.
Speed limits will remain at 45 miles per hour through the construction zone.
The entire project to make a four-lane highway running between Port Angeles and Sequim is expected to be finished next year.
