Traffic running on new section of 101 between PA and Sequim
January 7th, 2014 - 5:35am
(Port Angeles) – Traffic is now running on part of the new expanded Highway between Port Angeles and Sequim.
Late yesterday afternoon, crews switched both east and west-bound traffic to a new two-lane section of the highway at Barr Road to Kitchen-Dick Road.
Traffic is now traveling over a new bridge constructed over McDonald Creek.
Next, crews will start tearing down the old bridge. It will be replaced and the “old” two lanes of Highway 101 will become west-bound only.
By next year, Highway 101 will be four lanes between Port Angeles and Sequim.
