(Port Angeles) – A sweep by local law enforcement has landed five people in jail for alleged heroin dealing.
The sweep began Tuesday, when Port Angeles Police and US Border Patrol and Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team agents arrested 23-year-old Devin Terry and 21-year-old Rebecca Erwick. They were arrested as cops searched an apartment in the 1900 block of south Pine Street in Port Angeles. Police believe Terry delivered heroin in December to undercover agents. They say Erwick was an accomplice in the deliveries.
Wednesday, two more people were arrested for delivering heroin. 20-year-old Garret Horstman of Port Angeles was arrested at the Riviera Inn Hotel in Port Angeles. 19-year-old Beau Silvas of Port Angeles was arrested at a motel in the 1100 block of East First in Port Angeles.
Police believe Horstman and Silvas each delivered heroin to undercover operatives at least three times late last year.
Yesterday, 20-year-old Stephanie Caldwell of Port Angeles was arrested at a Port Angeles hotel for delivering heroin late last year to OPNET agents.
OPNET officials say the string of arrests was part of an effort to disrupt and dismantle a heroin trafficking organization operating in Port Angeles.
