Rider girls roll along

The Rider girls are now 7-0 atop the Olympic League and 9-2 on the season following a 62-41 win over the Sequim girls Friday in Port Angeles.

Port Angeles switched from a man to a 2-3 zone defense in the second half, got some steals amd roared away from a 22-22 first half deadlock.

Krista Johnson, Maddie Hinrichs and Bailee Jones led the second half surge with 14,15 and 15 points betwee them.

Sequim kept the game close in the first half thanks to solid defense.

PA shot 20/42 from close range and was 24/56 for the game, 43 percent.

The Rider girls held Sequim to 33 percent shooting, 14/42.

PA -- 12 10 15 25 -- 62
