Hargrove sponsors bill to regulate drones

(Olympia) – The area's state Senator wants new regulations on the use of unmanned aircraft.
Sen. Jim Hargrove has introduced a bill that would require law enforcement to get a court order to use drones for any use for collecting data that could be used to identify a person.
Hargrove's bill also would require permission from the state or local government officials before any agency buys a drone. Hargrove says he's not against using drones.
Eight Democratic senators and three Republicans are co-sponsoring the bill.
