EDC interim exec resigns

(Port Angeles) – The Clallam County Economic Development Council is again without an executive director.
Interim executive director Tim Smith resigned over the weekend, a little more than a week after signing a 120-day contract to lead the organization.
In an email sent to the EDC executive committee. Smith said there's too much confusion and a lack of clear direction from the EDC's board, particularly related to upcoming summit dealing with economic development agencies possibly working together.
Smith tells KONP he is still committed to seeing talks of collaboration between business development groups move forward, even as he steps away from the EDC.
Later this week, representatives from the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce, Port Angeles Business Association, PA Downtown Association and the CEO group will hold the first meeting to discuss ways those groups might collaborate.
