Sequim schools to ask for $154 million bond in April

(Sequim) – Voters in the Sequim School District will decide a $154 million dollar bond issue this spring.
The school board last night unanimously approved a bond resolution putting the measure before voters in April.
If approved, the district would use 140 million dollars for upgrades to the high school and two elementary schools and build a new elementary. Nearly five million dollars would be used toward a new stadium at the high school. Four million dollars would go to renovate playfields and the high school track. Another three million dollars would go to roofing projects, remodeling the transportation shop and building a new maintenance building.
