Home resales continue to increase in Clallam County

(Port Angeles) – Real estate in Clallam County continues to tick up.
According to a new report from the Runstad Center for Real Estate Studies at the University of Washington, home resales in Clallam County were up about four percent in the fourth quarter last year compared to the third quarter. Home resales were up nearly 50 percent in the fourth quarter last year compared to the same time in 2012.
The median sales price for a single-family home in Clallam County at the end of last year was 201-thousand dollars.
The resale prices were also up about three percent between third and fourth quarters 2013.
The numbers bucked the statewide totals. Statewide, home resales were down nearly nine percent from the third to fourth quarter. But resales were up about nine percent in 2013 compared to 2012 across the state.
