Rider boys end season

Port Angeles battled quicker Clover Park through one and a half quarters, but gave up two breakaway baskets late in the second period which led to a 39-33 Clover Park halftime lead and the Riders could not catch up.

Clover Park moves on to face Bremerton Wednesday at Foss. The Riders wind up 12-9.

Hayden Gunderson had 10 of his 22 points in the first period to keep pace with Warrior Phillip Winston who had 11.

There were three ties and eight lead changes before Clover park took a 30-29 lead.

Port Angeles then went cold in the second half, hitting only 4/16 and then 2/10 in the last period. The Rider defense held Clover Park to 23 second half points, but could score enough to close the gap.
