Two hurt as car goes over embankment

(Sequim) – Two people were hurt yesterday afternoon when their car plunged over an embankment near Sequim.
It happened about 2:15 pm near the intersection of Highway 101 and Whitefeather Way.
Fire District Three officials say the vehicle struck an embankment on the south side of the highway and plunged about 30 feet down a ravine.
A 22-year-old man was treated for minor injuries. An 18-year-old female suffered more serious injuries. Both were taken to Olympic Medical Center. The names of the injured were not released.
Crews had to close a lane of the highway while they worked the accident scene.
