Bunch resigns from Clallam PUD

March 4th, 2014 - 5:34pm

(Port Angeles) -- Officials with the Clallam P-U-D say Treasurer/Controller Josh Bunch has resigned to pursue new opportunities.

Bunch has been on administrative leave since late January while he and the P-U-D worked toward the resolution of legal differences between them that officials say have nothing to do with any financial issues.

P-U-D Communications and Government Relations Manager Michael Howe says in order to avoid a protracted dispute that would not be in the best interests of the P-U-D or its ratepayers, the P-U-D will pay Bunch a severance package and Bunch has resigned to pursue new employment opportunities.

The 6 month severance package totals 78-thousand-685 dollars and 98 cents.

In early February, P-U-D commissioners voted on a resolution naming Dave Papandrew to take over the agency's treasurer/controller position in the interim.

Papandrew was formerly the P-U-D's auditor.
