Sequim to take on new noise rules

March 10th, 2014 - 5:35am

(Sequim) The city of Sequim takes on noise tonight.

The city council will take a new look at the city's noise ordinance.

The possible change comes after the city has received complaints from residents about noise levels in the town.

But the new ordinance would no longer rely solely on those types of complaints.

Instead, the city would use a device to measure decibel levels to determine actual noise levels.

The city council holds a hearing on the proposal tonight at 6 pm. In the Sequim Transit Center.
