Sequim looking for songwriters

March 14th, 2014 - 3:56pm

(Sequim) - The city of Sequim is looking for songwriters and musicians to write a score for an upcoming video that is currently in production, and it could put $500 dollars in your pocket.

Sequim is currently producing a tourism video as a marketing tool, but the musical sound track has yet to be written.

The city has decided to take musical resumes in an effort to have an original score as part of the project.

Candidates have until Monday, March 24th to submit a sample of their work to City communications and marketing director Barbara Hanna's office, either by a CD or via a website.

If chosen, the songwriter will be required to release the rights of song ownership to the City of Sequim.
