3+ year sentence for PA man accused of providing fatal heroin dose to teen

(Port Angeles) - A man who had been charged in Port Angeles with controlled substance homicide pleaded guilty to lesser charges: maintaining a premises for drug trafficking and possessing methamphetamine and heroin.

David Zavodny was sentenced this morning in Clallam County Superior Court to just over three years. He'll serve 20 months in prison the rest in a drug treatment facility.

Prosecutors recommended the sentence as part of the plea deal.

Zavodny was accused of providing the heroin that killed 17-year-old Maceo Niehaus last May in Port Angeles.
