Bike repairs will help Olympic Discovery Trail
March 28th, 2014 - 5:12am
PORT ANGELES)-- If you've been thinking about getting your bicycle ready for the trails this spring, your bike tune-up costs can actually support efforts to maintain and complete the Olympic Discovery Trail.
Through the efforts of the Peninsula Trails Coalition and seven participating bike shops in Port Townsend, Sequim, and Port Angeles, labor costs for bike tune-ups will be donated to the Peninsula Trails Coalition. The Coalition will use the funds to support volunteer trail maintenance, work projects and trail expansion advocacy.
The active dates for labor proceeds to go towards the Olympic Discovery Trail are March 28th and 29th, and again on April 11th and 12th.
Participating bike shops include:
The Broken Spoke, The Recyclery and Port Townsend Cyclery, in Port Townsend,
All Around Bikes and Ben's Bikes in Sequim, and,
The Bike Garage and Sound Bikes and Kayaks in Port Angeles.
