(Port Angeles) – The city of Port Angeles will seek more input on possibly changing term limits for city council members.
This week, the city council told staff to come up with a plan to get more more public input into the idea.
City manager Dan McKeen says the move came after the city council brought the idea to explore changes to term limits up in a regular meeting this week.
Currently, the city limits the number of terms a city council member may serve to three consecutive four-year terms.
Port Angeles is one of only four cities in the state that currently impose term limits.
