No security camera for Clallam commissioners' room
April 7th, 2014 - 9:34pm
(Port Angeles) – Clallam County won't put a security camera in the commissioners meeting room at the courthouse.
Commissioners yesterday turns thumbs down on a proposal to put the camera in often-used room.
The idea came up, in part, because may users of the room have left in somewhat of a mess.
The county doesn't charge for groups to use the room, but expects tables and chairs are put away afterwards.
County Parks, Fair and Facilities Director Joel Winborn put the camera on a list of projects for this year.
But instead of installing a camera, two of the three commissioners said staff should crack down on the mess makers.
