(Sequim) – Sequim's city council is giving the city manager high marks.
The council this week rated city manager Steve Burkett a 9.1 out of a possible ten in a rating scale.
The annual review was done at a special meeting last Saturday.
The council used an outside facilitator to coordinate feedback from each council member into a comprehensive performance evaluation.
The council consistently gave Burkett very good to excellent ratings in each performance category. They used a 1 to 10 scale, with 8 representing “very good,” 9 representing “excellent,” and reserving 10 for a score of “perfect” for the evaluation.
In additional to the overall score of 9.1, Burkett scored a 9.1 in managerial performance, a 9.0 in council/manager relationships, and a 9.2 in employee and public relations.
