PA High gets state honors

(PORT ANGELES)-- Port Angeles High School just received good news from the Washington Board of Education. The school was recognized in the category of High Progress as part of the 2013 Washington Achievement Award.
The award has six categories including overall excellence, high progress, reading growth, math growth, graduation rate and English language acquisition.
Principal Garry Cameron said that this accomplishment actually extends to students, teachers, and school personnel throughout the district because it represents a student's overall educational experience.
413 schools from K through 12th grade were recipients of awards out of the roughly 1,700 schools the were deemed eligible by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.
