(Port Angeles) – The Port Angeles School District's new superintendent could have a contract by tonight.
The school board today takes up a three year deal with Dr. Marc Jackson to be the top boss for the district.
Jackson was picked earlier this month to take over this summer for the retiring Dr. Jane Pryne.
Under the proposed contract, Jackson will make 155-thousand dollars a year. He'll get 30 days of paid vacation each year. He also gets $550 a month for a car allowance.
Additionally, the district proposes to pay Jackson $4,000 to pay for moving to Port Angeles.
He is currently the superintendent for a school district in southern California, but has had a vacation home west of Port Angeles and has visited the area for a number of years.
