Drug take back day set for Saturday

April 25th, 2014 - 5:15am

(Port Angeles) – For those of you who are getting your spring cleaning done, don't forget to include your medicine cabinet in the process.

The 8th annual “National Drug Take Back Day” takes place this Saturday, and local law enforcement agencies will help you safely get rid of expired or unwanted prescription drugs at two Clallam County locations.

Individuals may bring prescription drugs and over the counter medications. EVEN ILLEGAL DRUGS can be dropped off with complete anonymity.

From 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Port Angeles residents can take their unwanted medications to the main parking lot of the Clallam County Courthouse located at 223 East 4th Street in Port Angeles. The Sequim Police Department will be hosting the event at their location in Suite 16 at 609 West Washington Street in Sequim.

During the rest of the year, individuals can drop off their unwanted drugs and over the counter medications at the Sequim Police Department and the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office in the Courthouse.
